I grew up knowing about God but it wasn’t until after I was married that I started to know God and find ways to serve Him. While I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I waited a long time to get baptized but finally did it with my wife and youngest son in 2016 and haven’t looked back since. The encouragement and support that I’ve received at Coastal really helped me make that decision and I’m grateful for that!
I grew up in a small town in northwest Indiana and joined the Navy a few years after high school. I was blessed beyond imitation and met my wife, Kimberlee, during my first duty station. Kimberlee and I were married more than 22 years ago and we have three amazing children: Ian, 22, Isabelle, 19, and Isaac, 14.
We found Coastal Community Church during our first tour in Virginia Beach in 2007 and made Coastal our home then. We have had the pleasure of calling Coastal our church home again since 2015.
Since being a member of Coastal I had the opportunity to serve in a variety of different ministries and have loved them all for different reasons. I now find myself serving in the Coffee Shop as Co-manager and LOVE it! One of the things I love the most about the Coffee Shop is that it’s not just about serving coffee, it’s about helping to support our mission partners around the world!
Outside of the coffee shop I am normally hanging out with the family or making something in the garage. I enjoy woodworking and building all sorts of things.
