Matt’s Story
Matt Wilson has been on his journey of surrender and walking with Jesus since July 2001. He is married to Heather, and they have a blended family of 3 boys and 2 girls, with two still at home, one starting college and the youngest at Salem High. Matt has a passion for leading men’s life groups wherever he gets planted from ships to recovery centers and here more recently at Coastal. He has served as Coastal Men’s Ministry Leader since 2024 and is a Sherpa for Life Groups.

D.L. Moody once said, “you’ve got to get a man lost before you can get him saved.” And Patrick Morley, “In order for a man to be a true disciple of Christ, he will need to surrender or else he will want to keep control.”
At Coastal, our Men’s Ministry mission is this:
We are committed to see ordinary men transform into Godly men, husbands, and fathers by providing opportunities for community and discipleship.
A relationship and daily walk with Jesus in Discipleship is key! A man walking in discipleship can reach his whole family, his work place, and the world around him for Christ!
